Vintage Motor Mount
Scanned an out-of-production mount and reproduced it in PA-CF.
Challenge
A discontinued cast-aluminium motor mount from a 1980s bike was cracked at the vibration mount. Original tooling long gone, no CAD files.
Approach
Metrology-grade structured-light scan of the surviving mount, reverse-modelled in CAD with corrected wall thicknesses, then printed in carbon-filled nylon (PA-CF) with reinforced infill at the bolt bosses.
Outcome
Direct-fit replacement, stiffer than the original casting, delivered in four days end-to-end. The customer ordered two more as spares.
