Challenge
An industrial client needed to compare a worn turbine blade against the original CAD to justify a re-manufacture decision.
Approach
Metrology-grade structured-light scan of the blade, aligned to the original CAD in inspection software, deviation map exported as a PDF report with colour-coded tolerances.
Outcome
Report identified a 0.4 mm deformation at the trailing edge — enough to justify the re-manufacture. Report accepted by the client's engineering team without follow-up.
